Christmas Day

We had such a blast with Riley on Christmas. Christmas Eve was alot of fun, looking at lights and then home to open a gift, spread the magic reindeer food on the lawn....and also leave a carrot and water bowl. Then there is milk and cookies for Santa as well as leaving his magic key on the door. Riley loved every minute of it. He told us he needed to go to bed early so Santa could come. How sweet!

Christmas Day, Riley couldnt get out of bed fast enough to see what Santa left him! His expression was priceless. He did get his "Bumblebee" like he asked for and he was thrilled. He also got the GeoTrax CARS Radiator Springs set as well as a few other things, but those were the highlights of his morning. He tore through all his gifts with a huge smile on his face, a hug for quite a bit of things, even clothes. He is so appreciative of everything he gets. We must have done something right!

Once, Riley found out he got to open more presents at Nana & Papas, he couldnt wait to get out the door. Santa even left the grandkids gifts there! They sure are spoiled. LOL! Riley was thrilled to get a brand new big boy bike and a new scooter from Santa over there. After our gift exchange over there, the rest of the family started showing up. It was one of the best Christmases I can remember. We all had a great time!

For some reason this year was especially hard for me missing Brandon. He is 17 years old now and I just couldnt get him off my mind. I know he would have had a great time over at Mom and Dads house with the rest of the entire family. I sure hope he had a great Christmas.

Rileys thoughts on Christmas Day!

Sea World

Mom and I took Riley and Cody to Sea World to see the decorations for Christmas. The boys both insisted they wanted to ride the "big roller coaster" there and they did. They were both visibly scared but the picture we got of Riley......OMG priceless! I wish I knew how to post it here. I will try though! We had a great time and Riley got to see Santa finally. He asked for Transformers. Love it!

Christmas Lights

Riley is very into Christmas lights this year. He asked just about everyday if we could go look at Christmas lights. Of course I didnt mind. We took so many detours on our way home from stores and banks that I think we might have very well seen all the lights in Clairemont! We took Riley to see the Holiday of Lights at the Del Mar Race Track TWICE! Once Nana and Papa came along. Riley especially loved going here because he could get out of his carseat and sit on our laps. He even got to drive the car! Yikes!

A couple times we went to a local neighborhood that lights up the entire neighborhood. We walked around and enjoyed the lights and some hot chocolate. Lots of fun!

Riley starts Preschool!

Riley went to preschool with his cousin Cody as a "trial run". He insisted he never wanted to go to school so the day he said he wanted to go, Nana picked him up to go along with Cody. He LOVED it! He didnt even cry for his Momma once. But I sure cried! LOL! He had such a good time that he went one more time before the Holiday Break. He has asked all month long now when he can go back. So it is official......Riley starts preschool regularly, on tuesday January 12th! Momma gets to take him this time........and of course there will be more tears!

November 2009

This month was pretty busy for us. Seems like there was always something going! It was nice to have a fun weekend with Kyles Mom in town for a week. We did lots of park time with Riley, Farmers Markets and just hanging out playing games. Sunday morning before we headed to breakfast with Uncle Sweet and Aunt Linda and then off to the park with Riley. Riley had a blast with Uncle Sweet playing kick ball and hide and seek with Aunt Linda. It is always fun having her here and sad to see her go. Cant wait for the next visit.....hopefully it isnt too long of a wait. :)

Thanksgiving was spent at Nana & Papa's house and then Mom and I went through ads to plan out our Black Friday shopping! This year Jodi came along with us. We had such a good time. Surprisingly, the stores werent that crowded. Once we got home, it was time to pull out all the holiday decorations and set up the house for Christmas! My favorite time of the year!

Happy Halloween

Riley is super excited to go trick or treating tonight! He keeps asking me if he can get his costume on now. He is going as the Transformer Bumble Bee. Too cute!
