Trick Or Treating.....

Riley had a BLAST tonight trick-or-treating. This was the first year he got to go out with his two cousins Cody & Brayden. They were all so darn cute. Riley was Woody (Toy Story), Brayden was Buzz Lightyear (Toy Story) and Cody was Iron Man. Each time they would walk up to a door, each one of them had to knock. Imagine all the poor people inside thinking it was one impatient kid knocking so much.....nope, just three excited and anxious little 2 & 3 year olds. So much fun though. Now Riley is so excited to hand out candy to all the kids coming to our door. He is so funny too because each time kids come to the door he asks where the next ones are. Then he saw kids coming and he would say "Momma, more treats coming". Another time, he saw kids across the street and he excitedly said "look, my friends coming". Gotta love kids!!! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!

Pumpkin Carving.....

Riley had a great time carving pumpkins. He was very much into trying to "carve" with his plastic knife. Since he couldnt use the real ones mommy and daddy were using, he went in to get his. Too cute. Here is Riley and Daddy with their pumpkins.

Thank You Grandma Teri!!!

Another Milestone......

Yes, today is a big day in the Christy house!!!! Riley THREW AWAY HIS BOTTLE!!!!! This has been a huge battle for us for quite sometime. Today was the day. Actually about 15 minutes ago, Riley threw his bottle away in the trash can.......all on his own! We told him that he could have a brand new fire truck if he threw it away. He did and we are so proud. Well, Mommy got choked up, but its ok. This is a good thing. So we will see how tonight goes. No more bottle though. YEA RILEY!!! And who says a little bribery doesnt work!

Future Bowler.....

Riley and I went up to the bowling alley last night to watch Kyle bowl. Riley has been asking to bowl by himself for a couple weeks now. After Kyle was finished, Riley was able to bowl a few frames. He was so cute! Of course he didn't have enough strength to push the ball all the way down the lane so we had to help......but he did knock down a few pins! He was so excited through this whole process. He would pick up his ball and hand it to be to carry to the approach for him. He would count with me as we got ready to push the ball down the lane. Then he would cheer on the ball as it would go down the lane (or gutter). Another milestone for Riley. Perhaps another bowler in the family???? Wouldn't surprise us one bit since his family is filled with many bowlers all the way back to his great grandparents on each side!

Mom headed home yesterday......

We had a great weekend visit with Mom. She had to head back home yesterday morning. When we woke up and said todays the day Grandma Teri has to go home, Riley replied with "Aww nuts"! Thats his newest phrase. Funny. Friday night we went to the pumpkin patch for a couple hours. That was pretty fun too. Riley rode lots of rides and fed the goats in the petting zoo. It was so fun. The three of them all hung out saturday and did a little shopping while I was away at my crop saturday. They even came up in the evening to surprise me. And yes it was a nice surprise! Kyle knew it was hard on me, since this was my first night away from Riley. What a guy!!! Then sunday morning we headed to Legoland for the day! Riley had a great time going on rides and showing Grandma Teri the sights of the park. I think Grandma Teri really had a great time riding with Riley on all the fun rides. Riley even did some trick or treating too. That was pretty cute. All in all we had a great weekend. Just keep on trying to get Grandma to move to San Diego so our visits wont be so far apart!

Survivor Crop!

My sister and I took part in the 7th annual Survivor Crop on Saturday October 18th & 19th. It was an amazing event! We had sooooo much fun. I had my first ever massage and participated in a pickle eating contest. Yes, crazy! We had so much fun, we are already planning on our table theme/decorations and fundraising opportunities. This next year WE plan on being the Ultimate Tribe (raising the most money) and one member from our tribe the Ultimate Survivor! I wanted to say thanks to all of you that helped me raise my donations. I raised $1158.00! Thank you so much! The whole event raised a little over $57,000! Cant wait for next years event!

Heading for the airport........

Mom Christy comes in today in just over an hour! Cant wait to see her. Riley is sooooo excited too. Every day for the last week or so we would say "guess who comes to see you in 5 days, etc." and he would yell "Grandma Teri"! Cute. Glad they get to spend this time together! Lots of pictures to be taken thats for sure.

Mom is coming out for a visit!

A couple days ago we found out that Kyle's Mom is going to be coming out in a couple weeks! Well, it is a little over a week now. We are so excited. This will be the first time she sees the new house completed! Kyle is REALLY excited to be able to show it off to her. Unfortunately her visit comes the same weekend as my 24 Hour Survivor Crop, so I wont get to spend the weekend with her. Thats ok though since I will get to see her the rest of the time. We are hoping to take Riley to a pumpkin patch and to Legoland while she visits.

The Martinsons Visit!

The Martinson Family came out for Shelly's brothers wedding and Shelly was lucky enough to extend her vacation a few more days and stay with us! We were so excited to have her. We would have loved for Nate and the girls to stay too but maybe next time! We took the kids to Sea World for the day. They had so much fun playing together. Riley really took to Shelly too while she stayed here. He was always asking where she was. Too cute! We were sad to see her leave but hoping in about three years they will all be back in San Diego for good......right????
